This 3-burner barrel grill puts out 40,800 BTU. It has 438 square inches of main grilling area. There’s another 192 square inches in the upper swing away rack for a grand total of 630 square inches of cooking area.
Don’t forget the side burner either. It puts out 12,000 BTU but, at the cost of losing half your prep area when you’re using it. A side burner is nice but we’d like to have one without sacrificing an entire shelf to get it.
There are some knuckle busters in the assembly but once you get past that you’ve got a good 3-burner grill with adjustable flame controls for each flame. The protection plates over the flames aren’t sloped as much as they should be. Drippings and food particles stick to them instead of sliding off, causing frequent flare-ups that can burn the food. You’ll need to clean those plates after each use.
There’s no tool storage under the grill, which is sad. We like keeping everything together. The other issue we had was the two smokestacks on top. The only cover that fits is from the manufacturer. Aftermarket covers are usually cheaper but that’s not an option with this grill.
